Description
At the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy, a fascinating scene occurred. During a Women’s Cross Country Skiing race, the racers appeared to be being chased near the finish line by a wolf. It soon became clear that the skiers were in no danger, as the wolf was just a wolfdog named Nazgul who had escaped his backyard near the course. I immediately thought that someone needed to write a piece of music about this amazing scene.
In The Skiing Wolfhound, I wanted to celebrate the beauty of the Italian Alps, the majesty of the Olympic games, and the joy of a good boy doing what good boys do.
